The idea narrowed down to one image the book can hang on.
Hanzala builds books from the outside in — cover systems, character art, and the odd creature between the chapters.
A cover usually comes first: a shape, a colour, a face that has to carry the whole shelf. The manuscript is written toward that image and the art inside grows out of the same set of marks.
The result is a run of books that look like they belong together without looking the same — a house style you can feel more than name. Placeholder biography — edit with Hanzala’s own words.

The idea narrowed down to one image the book can hang on.
Type, palette and marks set so the whole series holds together.
Built to final art, then the interior grows from the same hand.
Proofs checked on paper, on press, in person.
“A cover designer who writes — the books arrive already knowing what they look like.”
“The creatures in the margins are worth the price on their own.”
Hanzala is represented directly by the studio for all territories, plus cover and illustration commissions.
